Dr. Kurt Fendt is Senior Lecturer in Comparative Media Studies/Writing (CMS/W) and Director of MIT’s Active Archives Initiative. He teaches Digital Humanities subjects in CMS/W and German Studies courses in Global Languages. He is PI of the collaborative annotation platform Annotation Studio and several other digital media and archival projects.

Hanu is a sophomore studying Comparative Media Studies, Computer Science, and Design. She enjoys everything.

Felix Li is a senior studying Art & Design, and Comparative Media Studies.

Rachel Chae is a senior at MIT majoring in course 6-2 (EECS) and minoring in course 20 (biomedical engineering). She is concentrating in CMS and loves to paint, play ukulele, and go thrift shopping in her free time.

Meenu is a senior at MIT studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science with a concentration in Comparative Media Studies. She is interested in robotics and controls, web development, and video game design. Outside of classes, Meenu is co-president of her residence hall on campus, McCormick Hall and also serves as president of MIT’s undergraduate Women in EECS club. In her free time she likes to dance, doodle, and hang out with friends!

Katherine is a senior at MIT studying Art & Design and Materials Science & Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, hiking, listening to podcasts at 2x speed and shopping for plants, earrings, and postcards.

Isabel Báez is a senior at MIT majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Design. Outside of the classroom, she is the external liason for the Asociation of Puerto Rican students and the rush chair for a co-ed fraternity on campus, Delta Psi (Number Six). In her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Audrey Gatta is a senior at MIT double majoring in Art & Design and Mathematical Economics and minoring in Spanish. Outside of the classroom, she is a student guide for the List Visual Arts Center, co-president of Design for America, and an artist for the Memory Project organization. In her free time, you can find her playing volleyball, reading, visiting art museums, and going on long walks.

Marina Tosi is a senior at MIT double majoring in course 15-1 (management) and CMS. After MIT she will join Strategy& (part of the PwC network), as a Deals Strategy associate. She is passionate about mental health awareness, consulting, figure skating, thrift shopping, and travel.

Trudy Painter is a senior at MIT double majoring in computer science and comparative media studies. She is also a researcher at the MIT Media Lab in the Viral Communications Group under Andy Lippman. She is currently drawn to building web systems from scratch, digital archives, biking, web browsers, and custom license plates.

Chelsea Chen is a senior at MIT majoring in computer science and molecular biology whose interests range from life sciences research to web development. She has a concentration in CMS, focusing specifically on game design, and enjoys immersing herself in a variety of artistic hobbies from graphic design to UI/UX design. In her free time she enjoys dance, music, and art.
